Updated the Linux page, changed some links on the Writings page, and I'm trying to add some more content to the site. I'm writing more and I'm going to start writing political pieces more often. I've also had a short story, Pima Road published in the short work anthology Boxer Shorts. The story is not available on-line. Buy the book, read the story, make me famous ;) .
Just doing a little more work. Changed some text on the Linux page. I'm going to completely rework the Links page soon. In the three months it's going to take before I hear back from Spectrum, I'm going to see if I can't finish my second book. So far my readers (who are critical and not just being nice because I'm huge) tell me that it's far superior in quality (syntax, etc) and construction. They also like the story better. So, this causes me to think that even if I don't sell the first book (which is still a good book, but it's obviously a first novel) I can sell the second novel. One of these days - some way, somehow, I will succeed in getting published. I'm going to be a professional writer if it kills me (which it hopefully won't).
The Linux page is almost finished. Also, tomorrow I am sending off a query package to the Spectrum Literary Agency in the hopes that they will represent me. I know my chances, but if you never take chances, you'll never succeed.
A blogger I am not. I barely devote any time to this site. I promise I will. Really. As soon as I know I'm not the only one looking at it :) .
Yeah, it's been awhile. Like anyone is even looking at these pages - beyond spiders, that is. And me without a robots.txt file. I'm moving, slowly, but moving. I finally manages to keep the text and graphics from sliding to the side when the screen gets small. The next goal is to replace that Jotunheim graphic with something nicer (done). And I have to render all my poetry to PDF again (like that's hard). I'm going to bring the Writings page up today.
In other news, another friend is getting married. Raymond and Shannon are tying the knot and taking the vows. So that makes my sister and her husband, Aaron and Andrea, Raymond and Shannon, and even Bill and Chris (although they got married a year ago) all married. . . and I'm not even dating. Ooh, better not go there - now I'm feeling all lonely . . . heh.
Ok, I'm finally moving on this web page stuff. I just have to retreive my files from home. Also Aaron survived the weekend with no major injuries. Heh. And now he's three days away from married life.
Well, they finally managed to install the DSL line at work. I'm pleased, as we have NAT addressing on the router so I have 254 IP addresses to hand out. Neat. The drives and software for the software for the server will be in next week. Very neat.
Also, as of the 26th of October, my book, camera d'albergo a ScheveningenThe Dim Star has been with the Gislason Agency for 1 month. I expect to hear from them anytime between late December and mid-January. Ah, it would be so nice to finally have an agent. It would help motivate me to write more. Right now I have six books on my plate and I've only started two. Oops. And I must confess that neither of them has more than three chapters. Oh, well. Now that I've started to leave work on time, I'll have more time to write.
Now I'm about to go to Las Vegas for a two-day drunk . . . I mean bachelor party. Whatever. Aaron is getting married NEXT WEEKaccommodation in Eskilstuna. Wow. I'm the only one of my friends still single. Now that's a depressing thought. HA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Yeah, like I don't have better things to worry about. Sublimation, anyone?
