Begins and ends in Gustavus. 5 or 6 days
Day 1-5 We spend several days kayaking and shore exploring the west and east arm glaciers listening to them crackle and pop as they calve huge icebergs. We then head down bay scouting the shores for bears and the waters for orcas, whales and any other creatures who may pop up. The next few days are spent exploring remote fjords, enjoying the vistas and wildlife. Then we may drop a few lines for halibut on our way to our last night's anchorage.We can spin cast for salmon and kayak looking for bears on the grassy shores. Sea otters abound in this area. Day 5 (or 6) - Our last day is spent with the whales and, weather and whales permitting, we will kayak with them, too. In the afternoon we head back to Bartlett Cove for the connecting flight to Juneau.
